Maintains excellent kitchen hygiene conditions at all times. Controls food costs on a continual basis within approved budgetary controls. Portions and garnishes all baked goods, desserts, and confections. Ensures the smooth and efficient nighttime operation of the café on a continual basis. Records recipes and cost analysis on café POS system. Has knowledge of all state health department regulations and ensures all conditions and standards are met.

Job Requirements
Culinary degree required.
Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience field in high volume pastry production. ServSafe(R) certification, or ability to become certified, required. Knowledge of all state health department regulations required.
All applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check as well as be bondable. Reputable prior references required along with past salary history.
Understand and follow performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to Cafe operations.
Maintains professional appearance and grooming.
Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees by setting positive examples at all times. Instills an atmosphere that encourages employees under their direction to share ideas, discuss concerns, and resolve conflicts. Explains why we do things, in advance of doing them.
Physical requirements:
* Requires standing for long periods of time.
* Requires walking primarily on a level surface, though occasionally slippery, for periods throughout the day.
* Requirements include reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds for restaurant equipment, supplies, and restocking.
