Junior Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator

DC Mechanical, LLC (DCM), located in Ashburn, VA, delivers complete commercial plumbing and mechanical package to its general construction clients in the Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia area. DCM is looking for a junior mechanical construction Estimator to join our team. Requirements: - Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting construction specifications, blueprints, drawings, and plans - Proficient in using estimating programs/software: Maxwell or Trimble Systems on screen take off - Strong organization and computer skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Excellent problem-solving capabilities - Ability to work in a collaborative environment Key Accountabilities: - Generate quantity, estimate, and negotiate final pricing with subs - Engage in occasional industry networking to develop and maintain relationships with owner, contractors, and suppliers - Review and understand all contract documents, including but not limited to, Contract Drawings, Specifications, and the Contract agreement with the owner and/or client - Produce submittal list and review with Project Manager for submission to the customer - Generate periodic cost budget and review/analyze - Obtain and negotiate pricing from subcontractors - Review RFIs/responses - Develop full pricing proposals using estimating software - Must have a valid driver's license DCM is an equal opportunity employer.
