AWS Educate is Amazon's global initiative to provide students comprehensive resources for building skills in the cloud. It is a no-cost curriculum providing access to content, training, pathways, AWS services. Cloud Support Engineers work with companies every day to help them move their technology to the cloud and solve different types of technical challenges. They’re also the voice of the customer and provide feedback on customer needs when working with engineering teams to develop new features. This role requires a wide range of technical knowledge, from operating systems to web applications. In this pathway, which contains about 35 hours of learning, you'll learn about the skills a Cloud Support Engineer uses to troubleshoot and find customer solutions. In this pathway, you'll explore: 1. Various platform technologies, including Windows and Linux, and virtualization. 2. Networking topics, including architecture, protocols, virtual private clouds, provisioning, directory service, and troubleshooting tips. 3. Different scripting languages necessary for this role, including Python, Javascript, and using the command line interface. 4. General cloud security topics.
