POSITION TITLE: Portal Crane Technical Sales Representative
REPORTS TO: Director, Portal Crane Service (PCS)
LOCATION: Mississippi / Central Louisiana
Konecranes is looking for an individual with a background in sales in the pulp and paper industry to join our team as a Portal Crane Service Sales Representative. As a Service Sales Representative, your primary duties are to manage a sales territory, which includes identifying and securing new customers while selling products and services to the existing customer base to improve safety and productivity. This individual will be responsible for meeting assigned sales targets for portal crane equipment including but not limited to; repairs, retrofits, spare parts, general overhauls and consultation services. In addition, this individual will be responsible for commercial terms negotiations for capital projects, including payment terms, managing project cash-flow, etc. Monitor the workload of our service department and ensure that all open time slots are filled with sold work. Strong communication skills are a must, as you will be engaging with existing customers. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:
Territory Management YOY Growth in the assigned territory through selling technical repairs, upgrades, and engineered modernizations to accounts within
Increase revenue generation with existing customer base
Penetrate new accounts
Monitor contract renewal process and assist where necessary in maintaining customer base
Utilize Konecranes selling processes and tools, including using CRM to manage the sales process
Account Management Organizational mapping
Customer process expertise as it relates to pulp and paper manufacturing
Application of Konecranes product offering
Maintain monthly contact with assigned accounts to develop relationships. Document activity with key accounts
Prepare account plans with appropriate actions and forward to Director, PCS. Schedule and conduct business reviews for customers on an annual basis or as needed
Operational Awareness Maintain knowledge of work schedule
Monitor credit control list and assist in collections
Prepare or assist in preparing price estimates for service work using established tools, guidelines and input from the service department.
Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years' experience in service-related sales to customers in the pulp and paper industry is strongly preferred; however equivalent education, experience and training will be considered. Must have demonstrated leadership experience, a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, good written and verbal communication skills and good PC skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a good driving record. Must be willing and able to work off the ground, on occasion.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Engineering preferred however, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
