HVAC Service Technician

Academy Air is looking for a self-motivated HVAC Service Technician with a positive attitude to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years’ experience with troubleshooting and repair and have extensive knowledge of conventional heating and cooling solutions in a residential application.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing and replacing parts on equipment as needed to meet client needs. In addition to maintaining equipment, you are required to communicate with both the client and the dispatcher on job details and any additional important information. Maintaining accurate documentation on all jobs and communication with clients is also a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain high customer satisfaction by answering any questions, concerns, or issues that the client may have
• Diagnose any problems with HVAC equipment
• Stay current on new products and technologies in the field
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Run service calls- repair and/or replace parts on equipment as necessary
• Answer any customer questions and inform them of any pertinent information about their equipment
• Communicate to the dispatcher any issues or additional information pertaining to each call/job
• Document every call/job in an organized and detailed manner

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-7 Years of Relative Experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• EPA Certification
• Trade School Certification
• Flexible availability
• Ability to handle heavy equipment
• Ability to work outdoors
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of computers
