SUMMARY: As Branch Manager this individual oversees the efficient operation of the branch and ensures all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to members and staff. The Branch Manager must be proficient in all areas of the Credit Union which include teller functions, night depository processing, loans, new accounts, and be familiar with IRA services and personal Credit Union products and services.

Essential functions:

• Performs routine member transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Sells travelers checks, money orders, and teller checks. Assists with large item reports, end of the month closed account reports, checking hold notices. Ability to fill out CTR’s (Currency Transaction Reports) and SAR’s (Suspicious Activity Reports).
• Oversees the balancing of teller drawers at the end of each day and investigates teller shortages and overages.
• Explains, promotes or cross- sells Credit Union products and services offered by the Credit Union.
• Responsible for adherence to bank’s operational compliance and security policies and applicable federal/state laws.
• Ensures supply of money for banking needs based on business demands.
• Open a teller drawer
• Will answer questions regarding accounts and make appropriate referrals or overrides as necessary or direct them to main office for further assistance.
• Examines Checks for endorsements and negotiability.
• Processes stop payments on share draft accounts.
• Provides routine and non-routine information on Credit Union services or policies, including eligibility for membership, types of Credit Union accounts, insurance on loans, loan policies, interest rates, current dividend rates, locations, office hours, and telephone numbers.
• Provides members with account status, including current balance and loan pay-offs.
• Open and closes members accounts.
• Make copies of checks for deposit.
• Processes wire transfers.
• Performs various clerical functions including typing, filing, faxing and copying.
• Responsible for opening and closing functions of the Credit Union
• Monitors and orders all supplies.
• Oversees all filing within the vault.
• Attends required staff meetings
• Acts as Vault Teller which includes ordering cash from the bank, verifying cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining full vault security and balancing vault cash nightly.
• Must be able to open all loans provided by the Credit Union.
• Performs the posting of JV’s for loan proceeds.
• Examines currency for counterfeits.
• Enforce dual control procedures at all times
• Maintain and test alarms and other security devices
• Ensure excellent customer service skills are practiced by all staff members
• Work on projects assigned from main office.
• Must make sure all equipment is running in a proper manner (report facility-building concerns to CEO/VP of teller operations/Branches)
• Performs other duties as required
