Job Introduction

 

If you want to be a part of an innovative and talented team that is focused on modernization and utilizing innovative technology, and you have a strong passion for agile, servant leadership, and continuous improvement - we want you! We are looking for an exceptional agilest to be a Scrum Master II within the CFT Global Finance Technology portfolio.  In this role you will work with at least 2 agile squads that support our Global Treasury organization as we continue to modernize and consolidate our financial systems as part of an exciting, enterprise-wide initiative to streamline our services and deliver value to our customers.

 

As a Scrum Master II, you will work collaboratively on one or more geographically diverse agile delivery squads. In this role you will work on a highly collaborative team that values speed and quality, with a strong desire to drive change and foster a positive work environment. Your work will include coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery. Perhaps most importantly, you will use your Agile capabilities and growth mindset to help empower, energize, and motivate the teams you support. You will work closely with your team and peers and leadership to support sprint and release planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training and up-skilling, decision-making and continuous improvement in support of two main functions:

 

  • Delivery of various 3rd party applications that support critical Treasury functions across the Enterprise including Accounts Payable, Treasury Disbursements, Expense, Cash and Check Management.
  • Java/PCF, Serverless/AWS based development of Treasury applications including, Credit Card Approval, Corporate Aircraft, Vendor Master and Treasury Authority on premises and in the cloud for our business partners.

 

This position will have the opportunity to help shape our agile practices in Global Finance Technology. Working with the manager, stakeholders, and product owners, you will help determine and implement the strategic plans for each of these business capabilities to support the ongoing success of Liberty Mutual.

  • Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.) and at least 5 years related experience.
  • Beginner/1st level Scrum certification preferred, not required.
  • Knowledge/training equivalent to advanced/2nd level certifications from a reputable Lean-Agile organization a plus but not required (PSM II, ICAgile Professional – Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)).
  • Strong knowledge of agile principles and concepts and experience being on multiple Agile teams in a variety of different context. Experience supporting complex, multi-year projects is preferred.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Lean-Agile including training, conferences, user groups, cohorts, self-study, etc.
  • Displays strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills. Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
