About this role: The Vice President of Revenue Cycle will be responsible for leading and planning operations of all revenue cycle functions including billing, collections and cash posting for the assigned division. This position will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross-departmental organizational structure. The VP will work closely with the divisional leadership, practitioners, finance team, and outsource vendors to ensure that the revenue cycle efforts support the needs of the organization. What you bring to the table: Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required

Experience:
  • At least seven (7) years of Revenue Cycle experience.
  • At least five (5) years of leadership experience.
  • Strong and broad understanding of Revenue Cycle Operations in a healthcare setting required.
  • Previous experience with practice based and/or outpatient substance abuse and medication assisted treatment strongly preferred.

What you will do:
  • Oversee multiple initiatives to manage and improve the revenue cycle operations that favorably impact accounts receivable, cash acceleration, and net revenue.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective front office, mid-cycle, and back office processes, systems, and strategies including but not limited to eligibility verification, charge capture, utilization management, claim submission, cash posting, account reconciliation, denials management, and revenue reporting.
  • Establish and maintain an in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle principles, practices, procedures, contractual compliance, and internal controls.
  • Assure timely and accurate submission of claims and issuance of patient statements.
  • Manage cash application process to ensure all cash receipts are applied accurately and timely.
  • Protect the assets of the organization, namely, accounts receivable, cash flow, and provider and patient relationships.
  • Develop and deliver regular reporting to include but not limited to billing totals, cash collections (both third party and self-pay/over the counter), days of sales outstanding, adjustments, and bad debt.
  • Assess, identify, redesign, implement and measure process improvement opportunities within the revenue cycle function. Provide continuous monitoring and active management of all revenue cycle processes. Quickly identify and resolve problems.
  • Evaluate and/or identify needs for appropriate and key partnerships such as outsourcing, collections, underpayment vendors, eligibility, etc.
  • Maintain and foster excellent relations with the company's internal and external customers.
  • Coordinates the reviews of internal and external audits and compliance activities related to the revenue cycle.
  • Measure and coach on departmental productivity, performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the skills and behaviors of a successful leader,
  • Hire, direct, coach and monitor the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high-performance team that meets organizational and department goals.
