Kelly Science & Clinical has a new permanent opportunity for a Molecular Biologist with a Biotech startup company in Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement research focused on molecular/cell biology using mammalian cell lines
  • Characterize cells using various biological and biochemical assays
  • Interpreting data using statistical analyses and present results
  • Review scientific literature to lead the lab with innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete deliverables to fund applications, update investors, and publish research
  • Articulate complex ideas and topics to a broad audience, actively engaging in regular team meetings

You are an excellent fit if you meet the following qualifications:

  • MS/PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Bioengineering, or closely related discipline
  • Industry experience designing and implementing mammalian cell and/or signaling pathway experiments using CRISPR and gene editing
  • Primary cell and immortal cell line culturing experience
  • Cell line stability characterization using vector design and RT-qPCR
  • Willingness to eventually build out a team and grow with the company over time
  • Passionate about an opportunity that is truly impactful to communities worldwide
  • Creative, resourceful, and independent problem solver driven by ethics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
