Medical Assistant

We are a pediatric office seeking a full or part time Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical job duties.  We are willing to train, however, we do request a minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience.  We do offer the opportunity to obtain a paid Medical Assistant certification within 1 year.  

Our ideal candidate provides exceptional patient care- friendly, personable, professional, and reliable is a MUST.  Responsibilities will include Medical Assistant and/or front office fill in duties, but not limited to obtaining patient information and updating health records, answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, recording and obtaining patient vitals, administering immunizations, checking patients in & out, and creating a welcoming and positive environment.  Computer skills and the ability to multi-task is necessary.  

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks
• Recording and obtaining patient vitals
• Administering immunizations
• Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information
• Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages if needed
• Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments
• Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files
• Coordinating daily office activities, greeting patients and checking patients in and out for their appointments

• Prefer previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• MUST be reliable 
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
