What you get to do:

As a Painter you’ll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial painting needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You will:

  • Work in a team environment and interact with others in a professional manner
  • Perform commercial painting related maintenance work including, but not limited to: brush and roll, airless spray, sand blasting, pressure washing, ladder/high reach work, wall/surface prep and other miscellaneous painting tasks
  • Perform all painting work orders as well as planned paint maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on performing prep work on park equipment for spray paint coatings
  • Meet or exceed all Environmental Health & Safety requirements and quality standards during all job activities
  • Perform special project assignments from supervisor as required

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to meet company driving guidelines required
  • Required minimum of 2 years commercial painting experience preferred
  • Spray painting and prep/body work experience preferred
  • Able to perform commercial painting functions in a theme park environment
  • Able to work closely with paint shop supervisors and trade personnel to create and support a team atmosphere
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions
  • Able to bend, stoop and squat for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lb. pails of paint,
  • Able to climb extension ladders and step ladders; and become high-reach trained.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout work shift
  • Promote and ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and fellow ambassadors
  • Ability to work at various heights
  • Ability to work in close and confine spaces
  • Frequent bending from waist to floor, kneeling, squatting, simple hand grasping work and some fine hand manipulation.
  • Occasional crawling and overhead work
  • Ability meet respirator fit testing requirements
