Staff Accountant

Assurance Position

Ludwick, Montgomery, & Stapp P.C. is looking for a Staff/Senior Auditor/Accountant that is a self-starter, desire to learn, positive attitude, and be a team player. Estimated Start date would be ASAP. This position will need to work on site.

The job responsibilities will be primarily focused on completing reviews and audits, but you will also get lots of exposure to tax returns as well. We are willing to teach what you need to know.

Required Job Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Ability to manage multiple work projects
• Skilled in organizing and setting priorities within the framework of strict deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication
• General knowledge of accounting principals
• Perform detail work of audits, reviews, and other assurance services for clients
• Ability to evaluate, calculate, compare and critique information presented as numerical data, written materials, or client needs
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Knowledge in financial statement preparation
• Perform routine tax returns and related tax research as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products and QuickBooks
• CPA or working towards licensing
