Veterinary Technician

Busy, growing  veterinary office looking for a candidate who will contribute to the growth of our practice through learning, taking initiatives, prioritizing tasks,and working well within our team. Our hospital strives to deliver excellent healthcare to our patients and compassion to our clients, so strong communication is needed.

Our teams schedule flexibility by working a combination of weekdays, evenings and Saturday shifts. We aim to work with our team to build a scheduke that works for the individual and meets hospital needs.

Veterinary technicians perform:

Prepares and maintains exam rooms, patient treatment and surgical and dental areas

Understanding the usage and dosage of commonly usedperscription drugs

Administers SQ, IM and IV injections

Performs IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, digital radiology, in house laboratory testing or preparing for shipment to our reference lab, surgery and anesthesia monitoring, dental cleaning and digital radiography

Performs emergency procedures as directed by the veterinarian

Ability to provide client education- good communication skills, written and verbal

Ability to be a team player in a fast paced settingAbility

Computer skills, experience with Cornerstone a plus

Safely and gentley handle animals

Ability to maintain your composure in stressful situations

Standing for long period of times
