Remote Senior iOS Engineer

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated iOS developer that can continue to enhance our world-class app. You will ensure that the app performs well, that the visual design is meticulously up to spec, that the app runs efficiently and intuitively regardless of the iOS device and form factor. You will be a technical expert who can recommend solutions that leverage platform specific offerings for the best native app experience. You’ll be involved in new product feature development, but also a valuable contributor toward enhancing existing features.

You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build new features for the iOS platform
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of application
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Follow the UX designs and implement them as features
• Work closely with backend development, product management and UX teams to deliver good quality product
• Perform detailed analysis and technical designs, create technical documents and be an active participant in design reviews
• Code, test, integrate, document and release software adhering to technical and quality standards while meeting project deadlines
• Prototyping new ideas to help with initial feature definition 
• Participate in architecture and code reviews

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Expert in Swift and Objective-C
• Experience migrating Objective-C code to Swift
• Expertise in iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Video, AVFoundation, Core Animation, WebKit, etc.
• Experience with offline storage, multi-threading, background processing and performance tuning
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments
• Experience with remote push notifications
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient understanding of Git and familiarity with continuous integration strategies and tools
• Experience with CI/CD a plus
• Proven software architecture experience
• Ability to analyze large features and implement practical solutions
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
• Ability to work well and respectfully with others by listening, communicating clearly, and actively sharing knowledge
• Result oriented and deadline driven
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of engineers

Nice To Have Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience building applications for Android devices
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks
• Experience with mobile applications which process and store large data sets and significant file storage
• Experience designing and creating customer-facing enterprise applications
