General Information

In search of enthusiastic, outgoing Science Explorers Camp Counselors for the weeks of camp from July 12-16 , July 18-24 and July 26-30, 2021 for students in grades 1st-12th.



Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group.
Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities.
Serve as a positive role model while being punctual and organized.
Ensure campers' well-being and make their camp experience as fun and rewarding as possible.
Ability to provide quick thinking and ideas for new and fun activities.

All Counselors MUST participate in a 3 day training July 6th-8th prior to the start of camp. Participation in training will also grant an optional IDLS 486 1 credit.



Qualifications

Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills working with youth, while planning, organizing and implementing program activities each day with little direct supervision.
Previous camp (day or overnight) experience preferred.



Conditions of Employment

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
