ROLE SUMMARY

Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Diagnose malfunctions in equipment and machinery, perform preventative maintenance. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including PLC's, power supplies, VFD's, motors, servo's and power distribution systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:

  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, cleaning and repairs of machinery and equipment, to include modifying plant machinery and equipment and automatic equipment
  • Skilled in the use of electrical testing equipment commonly used in an industrial plant, such as ammeters, voltmeters, Meggers, conduit benders, and other hand or power tools equipment related to the job.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC / DC drives and motors. 
  •  Knowledge of PLC'S and PLC ladder programing along with various programming software.
  • Troubleshoot various electrical wiring, switches, relays, contactor, and starters.
  • Troubleshoot 1ph and 3ph systems with voltage ranges of 24vac - 480vac and low voltage DC systems.
  • Running conduit, wiring outlets, breakers, transformers, and lighting.
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics on machinery and systems.
  • Must have basic knowledge of hydraulics troubleshooting and blue print readings of hydraulics/pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to manipulate and understand the required functions of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Microsoft office suite.
  • Maintains required records, logs, etc. with regard to inspections, testing, maintenance, installation and repairs of equipment and machinery.
  • Must be familiar with all safety regulations and be prepared to work in and supervise confined space entry, and LOTO procedures
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures, as well as good housekeeping within the department and work areas in accordance with Masonite Architectural SOPs
  • All other job duties as assigned

  • High school education or GED
  • Industrial Maintenance/Electronics degree or Journeyman's license required
  • PLC automation and motion experience required
  • Prefer 3 - 5 years Industrial Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
  • Hours must be flexible and be willing to finish a project in case of breakdown
  • Must be willing for off shift for call-ins for breakdowns, project work.
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Detail oriented and the ability to work in a team environment are required
  • Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibility of this position
  • Good verbal, written and computer skills
