Controls Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Description:

-This position will be assisting the GM facility in the development, upgrade and installation of new production and automation lines.

-This position will work hand in hand primarily in plc programming of production equipment utilizing the Siemens platform

-This position requires the knowledge of working and developing systems utilized in the Win CC SCADA packages

-The roll will primarily be a support role of the production lines within the OEM and could also have a focus in upgrading CNC equipment - although this experience is not required

-Major responsibilities will include: plc programming, troubleshooting, modifications, installation, de-bugging and continuous improvement of lines from an electrical sense

MUST HAVES:

MUST HAVE intermediate experience working with Siemens Step 7 platforms

MUST HAVE intermediate experience working within an automated industrial environment - automotive preferred

MUST HAVE intermediate experience with programming, troubleshooting, set-up, installation, upgrading and commissioning production equipment on the Siemens Step 7 platform

MUST HAVE experience working with Win CC SCADA systems

PREFERRED:

knowledge of GM facilities

experience with GCCS - GM cert system

bachelors degree - not required
