Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Tester to join our team in the Hill AFB, Ogden, UT area. This will be supporting the Integration Support Contract (ISC) 2.0. Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements
* Develops test plans, test schedules, and approach
* Writes test cases & scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
* Conducts walk-throughs on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads
* Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
* Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures, and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
* Documents and communicates test results
* Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
* Documents and works to resolve complex problems and reports progress to mgmt.
* Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations
* Creates daily test metrics/reporting
* Performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support Basic Qualifications: * BS degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or related field + 4 years of experience
* OR
* MS degree + 2 years of experience
* OR
* PHD + 1 year of experience Preferred Qualifications: * Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
* Ability to write test scripts in various languages
* Experience defining and coordinating testing requirements
* Good software testing skills (system and integration testing)
* Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking systems
* Basic understanding of software development best practices
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team structure
* Journeyman skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tier
* Contractor shall obtain and maintain certifications as required by current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570.01 -M, and other applicable laws and regulations Security Clearance Requirements: * Ability to receive and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance Physical Requirements: * Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
