Software Developer III - Full-time

Position Summary:

Under the direction of an IT Manager, the Software Developer III will design, develop, test, maintain and provide support of company applications while adhering to company coding standards, security requirements, and department policies and procedures.  The Developer III is expected to implement tasks and provide feedback within the team.  This role is designed for a mid-senior level developer that can work independently or pair with team members. 

What you will contribute to:

• Participate in designing and developing multi-tiered web applications
• Participate in designing and developing API’s for integrations with both internal and external applications
• Write, test, and maintain programming code that is used in the operation of the company
• Update assigned user stories with estimates, elapsed time, and implementation details
• Participate in any phase of the development lifecycle, from initial design through implementation
• Build highly responsive applications that align with our business needs.
• Work in teams with other developers, designers, project managers and testers to deliver quality software on-time with the functionality requested
• Provide input on code reviews for other developers and embrace feedback from others

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

What you should bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 4+ years of experience working with an object-oriented programming language ( C#, Java, C++, etc.)
• Strong experience with a scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc)
• Experience building full-stack, enterprise-class applications considering quality and reliability using formal programming techniques
• Experience building applications leveraging JavaScript and writing both Unit and Integration tests
• Must be comfortable working with object-oriented development and design patterns
• Ability to work effectively through collaboration across disciplines, teams, and partners
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, multi -deadline environment
• Attention to detail, passion for quality
• Comfortable working in a relational database environment
• Experience with web services

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner) / actively pursuing

Language Ability:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents.
• Ability to write reports, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of employees, managers, and customers

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
