How will you make an impact?

This position will play a key in execution of in-house calibration program. The individual in this role will be supporting all aspects of processing, packaging, and facility calibration in a GMP environment including calibration documentation.

What will you do?

  • Calibrate electrical/pneumatic sensors, indicators and transmitters for process parameters like temperature, pressure, humidity, pH, conductivity, force, platform scale, analytical balance etc.

  • Review calibration work and preventive maintenance work orders for compliance with relevant SOPs and GMP, and issue appropriate change control.

  • Analyze process instruments for potential calibration problems and support further troubleshooting of process problems.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance as needed and support maintenance department in effective resolutions of process equipment problems.

  • Troubleshoot calibration deviations and repair or replace the defective instruments.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology in Instrumentation.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ service experience at a pharmaceutical manufacturing or hospital plant maintenance.

  • Experienced in using various calibration equipment, calibration standards and electronic test equipment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of metrology principles and industrial instrumentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • High level of trouble-shooting capability.

  • Attention to detail with a focus on superior documentation skills.

  • Ability to effectively negotiate equipment downtime.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
