Sr. Software Engineer of InfoSec

Large enterprise entertainment and media corporation in West Los Angeles is seeking a strong Sr. Software Engineer, with knowledge and interest in Information Security. This would be ideal for someone that has a strong interest in becoming a security architect. Must have 2 of 3 JavaScript, Go, Python. Developing in an AWS environment is a must We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer of Information Security to focus on applying a software development approach to Information Security. A core focus for this role will be on driving automation, codification of processes, building unique services enable business devs to be more secure, and modernizing security. You will have the unique ability and opportunity to dive into development across all of the company's businesses and help ensure a standard of security across the board. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Help design, build, and maintain automated security detection and remediation services Explore how emerging technologies such as Machine Learning can be utilized to enhance security Perform security assessments of new applications, products, and technologies Build security software and micro-services to be consumed by internal application development teams Help design, build, and maintain an API infrastructure that will integrate with multi-platform applications Embed security into the SDLC across various company business units Support review of company bug-bounty program Propose innovative solutions to mitigate application security problems Provide thought leadership on code quality and engineering improvements WHAT YOU WILL NEED 10-12+ years of experience Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda, API Gateway, Step-Functions Strong experience in software development utilizing JavaScript, Go, and Python Experience developing utilizing modern application development frameworks (Node, AngularJS, or React) Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases Experience in application security and development best practices Experience with developing models and queries against large data sets Experience with IDP technologies, OAuth, SAML Ability to develop in an Agile (SCRUM, Kanban) environment ABOUT YOU Curious software engineer passionate about security with experience creating high quality production grade services Yoursquore eager to build software security features and services for developers and applications A cloud fanatic ready to build security workflows with Step Functions, Lambda, and API gateway Interested in exploring how Machine Learning can be utilized to enhance security Have a knack for simplifying processes and low friction security Believe any process that is repeated may be a candidate for automation Yoursquore able to work with application teams to provide technical solutions for security best practices - yoursquore passionate about shifting security ldquoleftrdquo in the SDLC!
