Established in 2018, Limestone BBQ and Bourbon (LBB) will specialize in exceptional BBQ and provide a warm, comfortable location to drink the finest bourbon around.  We have brought the classic Texas BBQ taste to the great State of Delaware and paired it with the the best Speakeasy environment in this region.  It’s an exciting time for High 5 Hospitality, LLC and you have the first opportunity to be part of this growth.  We are looking for our own “small batch” of talent for the latest brand in the High 5 Hospitality, LLC family.  

The Bartender/Bourbon Steward will be our subject matter expert.  They will embrace service with a story and be exceptionally knowledgeable about their craft.  This individual will orchestrate memorable experiences for our Guests - sharing their passion for conversation and quality drink.

Responsibility:

Check identification to ensure Guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and comply with RAS procedures as defined by federal and state laws 
Read and organize tickets to quickly and accurately serve Guests and manage large crowds 
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for Guests per LBB’s Standard Operating Procedures standards and specifications 
Inform Guests of our bourbon selection and make suggestions upon request 
Replace kegs and restock bottles of alcohol when necessary 
Monitor current levels of inventory including stemware, glassware, garnishes, etc. to ensure proper levels, and prepares, washes, and sterilizes these items to replenish inventory as required 
Collect and accurately process guest payments per Company Standard Procedures 
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customer excessive drinking by taking appropriate precautions 
Take beverage orders directly from Guests or Cocktail Server.
Ability to follow specific service time and guidelines while at the same time engaging guests and customizing their experience 
Must be reliable and dependable by adhering to a schedule, covering shifts as necessary, and being on time for scheduled shifts 
Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time 
Ability to handle money, make changes, process credit card transactions in a timely and accurate fashion 
Other duties as assigned by supervisor 


Guest:
Make personal connections with Guests to create loyalty through engaging conversation 
Actively looks for and identifies techniques to attract new guests.
Conflict management and problem resolution skills 
Conflict management skills, analytical skills, and high degree of emotional intelligence in order to recognize and solve problems that come with the position 

Quality Operations:
Maintain clean and sanitary bar area, equipment blenders, and perform glass washing 
Relay any issue regarding operations to the Manager on Duty.

Sales and Profits:    
Monitor and manage bar inventory and cost control measures including tracking waste per  Standard Operating Procedures 
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, and department rules, policies, and procedures 


Education/Training/Experience:

Minimum 21 years of age 
Certification to serve alcohol as dictated by the State and LBB policy (ABC Card)
High School or equivalent. 
Stellar Customer Service skills. 
Knowledge of commonly ordered drinks and ability to make suggestions 
Knowledge of RAS (responsible alcohol service) procedures as defined by both state laws and LBB Code. 
Knowledge of Whiskey and Bourbon
Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures 
Knowledge of current marketing initiatives and upcoming events in order to inform guests 
Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle money accurately 
Basic knowledge of Point of Sale systems 
 Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment 

Preferred 
Prior bartending experience
