About this job

This is for an entry level manufacturing engineer with internship experience in a manufacturing environment or an engineer with 1+ year of experience.

Support assembly operations with the necessary tooling and processes in an efficient and timely manner. Continually develop new processes and tooling to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery

  • Line support of assembly operations. Processes include transport, welding, coatings, and finishing.
  • Create and maintain all required process documentation.
  • Support and / or lead continuous improvement projects and Kaizens to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery of company products. Define and document new and changed processes. Ensure change(s) are integrated into the assembly operation.
  • Train/educate workforce in the correct methods for our manufacturing operations.
  • Specifications, designs, sourcing and project management of tooling and equipment projects.
  • Gather and organize necessary data for justification of projects requiring capital investment.
  • Follow all written procedures for the creation and control of fixtures, lifting and hanging devices and material handling equipment.
  • Lead customer groups on tours of the factory.
  • Application of advanced manufacturing engineering skills, i.e. Lean, Theory of Constraints, Jidoka.

  • Hands on experience working on cars/trucks
  • Strong enthusiasm for automotive industry
