Director of Operations, Office of Admissions

The Office of Admissions is looking for a dynamic, motivated, and innovative Director of Operations. Responsibilities:
The Office of Admissions is seeking a visionary leader with great entrepreneurial, strategic, and analytic skills, possessing finesse as a manager and collaborator. Reporting to the Dean of Admissions, the Director of Operations provides overall leadership and management expertise for the multi-faceted operational functions of the Office of Admissions to successfully meet university enrollment goals.

The Director develops proactive and nimble strategies to adjust to changing environments and trends in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and application processing at both the undergraduate and graduate/professional level, using best practices and current technological solutions to manage application flow. In addition, the incumbent works collaboratively with the Admissions Senior Staff team to meet yield and enrollment targets and support university enrollment initiatives. Further, the Director leads a talented staff of full-time professionals and part-time wage employees who process admission documents, applications, transfer credit evaluation, international credit evaluation, and domicile decisions.

Additional Responsibilities Include: * Provide leadership in office planning and direction; * Interpret, administer, and execute transfer credit policy; * Collaborate with senior leadership team to develop enrollment strategies; * Oversee the operations team by setting goals, ensuring timelines and accuracy; * Provide vision, leadership, and guidance in managing the operational functions of the office; * Monitor work flow processes, data processing systems, operations and applications; * Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, and mentoring of staff; * Supervise staff and manage the effectiveness and efficiency of prospect and application processing; * Coordinate continuous system training for staff to enhance knowledge of software applications and emerging technology; * Provide domicile guidance and training to staff; * Provide transfer credit evaluation guidance and training to staff; * Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, and other areas of the admissions office; * Work with operations team to create an efficient and student focused experience; * Standard and ad hoc operations reporting; * Look for efficiencies and research tools and techniques for new processes; * Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: * Master's degree in appropriate area and demonstrated relevant experience (minimum of three years is preferred); or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and substantial relevant experience (minimum of five years is preferred); * Proven track record of exceptional leadership in admissions; * Demonstrated knowledge of enrollment planning and admissions office operational functions; * Clear understanding of FERPA and the handling of personal and confidential information; * Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; * Demonstrated experience designing technology-supported processes to implement strategy; * Ability to operationalize business strategies; * Excellent diplomacy skills; * Ability to train a group or individuals on new processes and procedures; * Supervisory and office management skills; * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; * Creative problem solving abilities.
