Position Summary:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for supporting Jack in the Box fast food restaurants in multiple locations. The Facilities Manager coordinates and performs all maintenance and installation of equipment and facilities related to Jack In The Box restaurants in their designated area. In addition, the Facilities Manager supervises outside contractors and vendors, as well as interacting with various Restaurant and District Managers to ensure that all building systems are maintained in excellent working condition.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
-Prioritize, Schedule, and Personally Complete as many repairs and installations of equipment and other facility related tasks, as reasonably required
-Conduct regularly scheduled restaurant audits making recommendations for needed repairs and working with the Management Team by training or coaching on how to affect minor repairs to help reduce repair costs and also provide a safer environment for our guest and employees
-Research and qualify new contractors and vendor partners
-Provides expertise and consultation to the Management Team on replacement, repairs and preventative maintenance issues
-Provide emergency/disaster response for restaurants as needed, with availability as needed on a 24/7 basis
-Manage capital projects by developing scopes of work, selecting quality contractors, soliciting bids, scheduling work with operations and contractors, project supervision and inspection, holding the contractors accountable to deliver a quality product on time
-Provides periodic reports on capital project status and meets with Director
-Oversees warranty compliance matters as required
-Represents company as a representative at regulatory meetings as required
Maintenance Manager must personally do all:
Refrigeration including ice machines
HVAC
Cooking equipment
Tile work
Lighting & electrical
Plumbing
Parking lot washing/painting & striping
Drive thru headsets, equipment & timers
Landscaping including all mulching & plantings
Painting & minor building repairs
Window washing
Vent hood cleaning
Menu board maintenance and repair
Registers & technology repairs including safes and camera systems & back door alarms
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Expert knowledge of Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration, and Restaurant Equipment, including practical experience completing repairs is REQUIRED
-Electrical and Plumbing practical experience completing repairs is PREFERRED
- Previous multi-unit building management experience is REQUIRED
-Food Service Industry experience is PREFERRED
-Technologically proficient using computer, PDA, Microsoft Office Suite is PREFERRED
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED
-EPA certification is REQUIRED
-HVAC and Refrigeration certificate or Louisiana State license is PREFERRED
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field with three (3) years experience is PREFERRED
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Demonstrated project management skills
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management in a team effort for success
-Demonstrated ability to work independently having been given defined objectives
-Capable of easily adapting and solving problems in an expedient manner
-Ability to manage, lead and motivate others for a successful outcome
-Must be self-disciplined, goal oriented and highly organized
-Understands and has the ability to execute excellent customer service skills
