E&H Ace Hardware Cashier - Full-time / Part-time

Job: Cashier 

Job description: The Cashier contributes to E&H Hardware Group's mission by creating a friendly and courteous shopping experience.  The Cashier is responsible for providing high level or “legendary” customer service. 

Responsibilities: 
Cashier has the following responsibilities and duties: 

Must verbally communicate with Customers. Treat each Customer as a respected guest. 

Work on projects assigned by your supervisor after first determining their priority in relation to your other duties.  Remember, customer service is always priority one.  

Complete Customers’ special orders for non-stock or out of stock items. 

Complete Daily cleaning checklist. 

Keep checkout are, front-end impulse area and front-end supply areas neat and clean. 

Follow established procedures for all point-of-sale transactions.  Engage the Customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of be an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them. 

Process refunds and credits for returned merchandise. 

Use loss prevention techniques to reduce shortages and prevent shoplifting. 

Be familiar with items stocked inside and outside of the store. 

Maintain familiarity with all ads, rebates, special pricing, and reports pricing errors to management. 

Answer telephone and refer all calls to proper department using two-way radios

Cashiers should have the following skills, education, and experience: 

High School Diploma, preferred 

One year of retail experience, preferred 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to stand for an extended period of time. 

Move and hand boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth

Compensation: 
E&H Hardware Group will provide the following compensation: 

Salary: Starting at $10.00 per hour

E&H Ace Hardware  is now offering a New Hire Bonus Program. Join our Team and earn up to $500 for full time employment and $250 for part time employment.

Payment will be made at 90 days and 180 days employed.   Full time employment will be $500.00 ($250.00 at 90 days and $250.00 at 180 days).  Part time employment will be $250.00 ($125.00 at 90 days and $125.00 at 180 days).
