Job Description:
Evans Ace is looking for new, Helpful, Service-Minded people of all experience levels to fill 8 Full-Time positions in Paint and Garden. Full-Time for us means 40 hours/week all year round in a steady, consistent schedule. We are open 7days a week 8:00am-7:00pm. Some Weekend and evening availability is required to be considered.

Individuals need to have the social skills to explain that the item the customer needs is in the other building and then happily turn around and assist a child with the gumball machine. We need people that can smile and visit while hauling 50lb bags of soil to a customer's car and then quickly put on a cashier hat and count back change. If you have shopped online, or can successfully apply online, you can handle our computer system. If you have a hard time keeping an ON-TIME schedule, please don't apply. This needs to be coupled with a belief that change is a fun, exciting part of life. You need to be able to handle crowded, loud environments and recognize a lull in customer flow is a time to hustle not slow down. Everyone cleans here – Everyone. Traeger and Violet are our store cats. They may be involved in the interview process so if you have a serious allergy or other problem with cats you may want to reconsider applying.

We offer a unique on-boarding program that ensures Evans Ace is a mutually beneficial place for you to work. This is a 90-day training period paying $11.00 per hour. During that time, you will be working with customers and teammates to determine if this is the right fit for your style. You may be working primarily at the registers. You will be working freight, pricing, and order processing to see if you have the right technical skills. You will also be completing a New Hire Training program sponsored by Ace Corporate to help you round out customer service skills and product knowledge. Our goal is for you to succeed and become a full-time member of our Team.
