The successful Supervisor candidate under general direction of Pathology management, supervise and coordinate daily functions and activities in the clinical Micro laboratory. Ensures the provision of laboratory services to meet the needs of patients as ordered by medical staff and performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices, as well as, regulations stipulated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act.

What You Need to Be Successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent is required. Advanced course work/education in the particular area of Microbiology specialization is required.
  • ASCP certified is required.
  • A minimum Two year’s supervisory experience with the skills necessary to manage the work of Medical Technologists and other level laboratory staff (i.e. assign work priorities, audit work quality, orient and train, evaluate employee performance and other responsibilities assigned in a high volume testing laboratory.
