Description

The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for the resolving closed loan deficiencies, discrepancies or requests outstanding documentation.  

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Resolve data discrepancies preventing loan delivery to agency investors.
  • Ensure flood insurance premiums paid at loan closing are received by the Insurance agent, or carrier within required time frames.
  • Resolve post-closing document deficiencies. 
  • Ensure work completion escrows are finalized within required Agency time frames.  Provide timely and accurate instructions detailing the release and disbursement of escrow funds held by the title company.
  • Monitor closed loans in Presidentially declared disaster areas.  Order post disaster inspections, as needed for impacted properties.
  • Resolve data or documentation requests provided from Loan Servicing.
  • Successfully complete all job-related training.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years residential mortgage lending experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage documents
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Work effectively in a fast pace environment
  • Familiar with Investor, Agency guidelines and state and federal banking compliance laws
  • Possess basic computer software skills, specifically demonstrating knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent mortgage experience preferred.
  • Able to problem solve by assessing and identifying causes, gathering relevant information and generate possible solutions.
  • Work outside of the standard business day may be required.
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability and respect for other employees with regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed upon schedule.
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills. Candidate should be capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining service level agreements.upon schedule.
