JOB SUMMARY: 

 Call Center Representative, is an entry-level position, responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls or on-site/face to face counseling, using a telephone line, or a live call inbound/outbound application. While answering or making calls, the communicator must strictly abide to read and facilitate different telephone scripts to address client’s needs, must use headset equipment, a computer, while being in a call center-based environment. 

 

TASKS:

. Deliver prepared Service talks, reading from scripts that describe products or services, to serve consumer questions on health insurance subjects.

. Explain products or services and answer questions from customers.

. Obtain customer information such as name, address, and enter data into computers.

. Record and classifies names, addresses, and reactions of prospects contacted.

. Answer telephone calls from new and existing customers.

. Disposition to read scripts to meet client’s expectations toward customer’s needs.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

. Language- Spanish – English knowledge of the structure and content including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

. Customer and Personal Service- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

. Telecommunications- Knowledge of transmission, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.

 

SKILLS:

Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Persuasion- Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.

Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help people.

 

ABILITIES:

Oral Expression- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Oral Comprehension- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences on the phone.
