We are seeking a Principal Mission Integrated Product Team Lead who brings space vehicle system leadership and engineering knowledge to our programs. The successful candidate will have prior experience and/ or knowledge across all subsystems of the Space Vehicle and Bus. Key subsystems of interest include, Command & Data Handling (C&DH), Power, Attitude Control, Communications, and EO/IR Payload subsystems. The candidate should also have experience with Launch systems integration and logistics as well as early on-orbit operations and test and possess a detailed understanding of the design based on hands-on experience. The Mission Integrated Product Team Lead Sr. Principal Systems engineer will engage at a high operational tempo and demonstrate the ability to react quickly to changes in both plans and priorities while maintaining the execution rigor needed to ensure mission success. The role will also be a strategic position requiring daily contact with multiple organizations as well as customer counterparts.

Responsibilities include managing budget, schedule, and maintaining strong working relationships with all levels of the organization. This position will interface with Program Management, the Mission Lead Systems Engineer, the Mission Chief Engineer, and other stake holders to ensure program objectives are achieved.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years engineering experience with at least 5 years working space vehicle and/or bus systems engineering
• Experience managing multi-functional and cross-site teams
• Experience with EVMS
• Demonstrated strong organization, coordination, planning, and team building skills
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship status

• DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the organization
• Experience with the Full System Life Cycle (from customer requirements through launch integration)
• Experience with Launch Systems Integration
• Experience with requirements analysis, capture, flow down and verification
• Experience managing system interfaces
• Experience managing technical budgets (Mass, Volume, etc)


Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical discipline (preferably Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering
