  • $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Direct Hires

    1. Proactively evaluate areas of organizational risk based on internal assessment and external benchmarking; and, implement strategies and policies which promote patient and staff safety. 2. Manage the organization-wide occurrence reporting process including the design and automation of the reporting process, trending and reporting of results, identification of problem prone areas and the facilitation of improvement work. 3. Assist in the educational process to all staff within CHA on proactive risk management processes and patient safety initiatives to minimize the risk of adverse patient outcomes and prevention of adverse events from occurring. 4. Respond to serious occurrences and advise administration, medical, professional and other hospital staff regarding individual cases, general risk management issues and/or external reporting regulations. 5. Immediately report to the Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety, any serious occurrence/complaint representing actual or potential patient, visitor, and/or employee injury. 6. Coordinate reporting of patient care related incidents to regulatory agencies as required by law. Participate in the development of corrective action plans. 7. Direct the risk investigation of all potentially compensable events; and, lead the review of serious occurrences requiring root cause analysis. 8. Report all potential/actual claims to the CRICO and legal counsel in a timely fashion. Ensure maximum protection from discovery of all such materials. Coordinate claims investigation and legal defense processes. 9. Maintain accurate confidential files of actual and potential liability claims. 10. Be up to date on new and revised state and federal regulations and statutes related to hospitals and patient care. 11. Serve on and actively participate in a variety of committees within the hospital as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    High energy, organized, persistent and creative individual with strong communications, interpersonal and systems thinking skills. Three to five years risk management experience including a thorough understanding of QI processes, tools and techniques, quality measurement and reporting, TJC and CMS standards, Board of Registration in Medicine and Department of Public Health regulations, root cause analysis and preventive risk management strategies. Bachelors degree required with Masters preparation and RN preferred or clinical experience highly desirable. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and adhere to deadlines. Facile with standard Microsoft Office and Google products and software. Experience in database management, RL6 preferred. Able to function effectively and efficiently in a stressful and dynamic work environment.

Free COVID-19 testing in Malden!
CHA has expanded #COVID19 testing in Malden. Free testing is now available to residents of Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere and Winthrop at the CHA Malden Care Center (195 Canal Street). Testing is available to people 8 years and older, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. You do not need symptoms to be tested, but you do need an appointment.
