ProStaff Solutions is looking for Mechanic/PLC Technician to work for a company in Carlstadt, NJ Pay Rate: $30-35/hr (DoE) Schedule: Mon-Fri - 7:30 am - 4 pm Contract to Hire Department: Maintenance Reports to: Lead Mechanic Job Summary: Set up and repair of Packaging equipment which includes vertical form, fill and seal machines, bottle fillers, tube fillers, blister packaging equipment, cappers, unscramblers and labelers, shrink wrapping machines and carton forming machines and stainless steel kettles and rotary mixers. Job Requirements: Must have 5 years’ experience with packaging equipment, preferable in a pharmaceutical or consumer products environment, including unscramblers, fillers, cappers and labelers. Ability to follow machine set-ups for multiple sizes. Electrical troubleshooting experience. Machine shop/welding experience. Leads team of up to 4 mechanics. Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors. Also, constructing, programming and installing control panels and control systems for automation equipment; managing excel spreadsheets for monthly reports, spare parts, daily repair logs, and scheduled PM’s, along with calibration documentation. The individual is expected to troubleshoot electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems via ladder logic and electrical schematics. Familiar with equipment manufactured by Allen Bradley and Siemens. Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as speed drives, sensors, motors, encoders and positioning controls. Must be proficient in electrical controls, trouble shooting, understanding ladder logic and electrical diagrams, and mechanical and pneumatic systems. Educational/Certification Requirements: High School diploma/GED. Must be able to read and write English Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk around for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
