Job Description:

This company is a third party insurance broker that offers consumers choices in both carriers and coverage throughout the year.

Each year consumers have the opportunity to select a new healthcare benefits plan. From November 1st to December 15th. Sales representatives act on behalf of major insurance carriers to help consumers select coverage they need at a price that fits their budget.

This is for the company's Medicare class. The company pays for you to get your Medicare license. The first 120 hours of the job consist of studying for the exam.

DUTIES:

  • Representative receives warm leads from a lead vendor system paid by the company. Each of these leads costs the company money so it is crucial Sales Reps are closing the sale
  • Ask needs based/fact finding questions to determine an individuals health insurance needs and budget
  • Make recommendations on carries and coverage based on the needs of the caller
  • Enroll customers in their new insurance plan
  • Navigate multiple computer programs to enter coverage information

Job Details:

Pay: $15.00/hr

  • $1,000 bonus upon completion/obtaining of insurance certification and going on permanently with the company (after 480 total hours worked)

Hours/shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays if deadlines to get enrolled are nearing)

Job Requirements:

  • Must take a 30-45 minute test prior to interviewing with the company
  • No more than 1 job held in 1 year time frame
  • Desire to build a career in sales - this is NOT customer service
