POSITION SUMMARY:

Department: Finance
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
The Director, Finance (Director) is responsible for the financial health of the company. By
combining strategic and operational goals, the Director manages the accounting and economic
aspects of a company by enforcing a financial strategy aimed toward profitable long-term
growth. Additional duties include overseeing the finance department primarily in the payroll and
accounts payable functions, conducting financial assessments, generating reports, maintaining
responsibility over the department’s internal controls and conduct risk assessments on business
initiatives. This individual will manage effective internal/external client relationships within their
own area of responsibility, and will build client relationships in the wider group or unit. The
Director will be responsible for other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties and Responsibilities
● Oversees financial operations of the Company with a key focus on managing Payroll and
Accounts Payable functions
● Responsible for month-end consolidation process
● Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and
annual basis
● Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives and report to
Senior Management
● Provide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for long-term growth
● Establish internal work processes and related internal controls for financial department
and monitor their progress
● Manage the finance department, training any new employees as necessary
● Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations
● Oversee the year-end financial and 401(k) audits
● Other duties and special projects as assigned by the CFO

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience
● Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree / CPA preferred
● Experience in a payroll environment spanning multiple States and Jurisdictions, as well
as a significant number of employees
● Experience with Workday and NetSuite systems strongly preferred
● Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
● Ability to effectively supervise team members and work as a member of the team, and
organize work activities for other members of the team
● Ability to adapt to changing environments
● Ability to work independently
● Must possess solid critical thinking skills and analytical skills
● Must possess excellent organizational/project management skills with close attention to
detail
● Must possess strong written communication skills including proper grammar, spelling,
and good overall writing ability
● Must possess excellent verbal communications skills
● Display exemplary work ethic and professionalism, and demonstrate adequate maturity,
patience, and a caring attitude
● Demonstrate compliance with all department and company policies and procedures
● Ability to communicate and interface effectively at all levels of the organization, as well
as with external contacts
● Demonstrate strong innovation and problem-solving skills
