Job Description

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP Tax & Treasury, the Corporate Tax Director will manage all aspects of the Company’s global accounting for income taxes, U.S. Federal, state and international income tax compliance and U.S. based income tax projects. This role will interact with senior finance leaders of the organization and be the liaison with multiple levels of management and staff to coordinate the flow of information between various functions, while also providing leadership, guidance and assistance for tax-related issues for the Company.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for quarterly and year-end accounting and reporting for income taxes under ASC 740 for U. S. and international operations
  • Lead implementation of new tax accounting pronouncements and oversee all technical tax projects which impact financial reporting
  • Maintain ownership of tax internal controls and updating of same as business developments dictate
  • Oversee preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns coordinated with outside tax consultants and local controllers
  • Coordinate preparation and filing of all foreign income tax returns with outside tax consultants and local controllers
  • Manage all domestic tax audits
  • Lead in the analysis and resolution of all complex domestic tax issues
  • Oversee preparation and review of quarterly transfer pricing calculations in accordance with developed policies and procedures
  • Oversee preparation and submission of domestic and foreign BEPS/DAC6/CbyC filing requirements
  • Participate in M&A planning and due diligence, and manage tax accounting and integration into existing tax operations as required
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to reduce tax expense, eliminate tax exposures, minimize audit deficiencies and maintain a competitive effective tax rate
  • Identify and drive process improvement projects within the corporate tax function
  • Supervise and collaborate with outside tax advisors on various projects, as required
  • Other duties as may be assigned
     

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Tax, Accounting or Finance. 
  • 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience with exposure to complex U.S. multinational company
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop a team of direct reports
  • Must demonstrate a conceptual and business oriented approach to communicating taxes and tax planning, and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-tax business leaders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage critical timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Poised, adaptable and comfortable with change
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Other Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Taxation preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Big 4 public accounting background preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with M&A due diligence, integration and related tax accounting
  • Experience with SAP, SAP BPC, OneSource Tax Provision & Income Tax software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of four: Sr. Tax Manager, Tax Manager (2), Tax Analyst

Working Conditions:

  • Possible travel (10%), generally within the US.
