About this job

The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all agency facilities in accordance with all applicable regulations and best practices. He/She will also be responsible for overseeing all facilities projects, including developing and implementing capital projects with senior management, with an eye toward furthering sustainability and mitigating environmental impact. Responsibilities

  • In collaboration, with other senior management team members, will assure the health, safety, and welfare of all program participants and staff in all agency facilities in accordance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Plan, evaluate, and create budgets for recommended changes to facilities and implementing capital projects, and participate in developing and supporting funding opportunities.
  • Responsible for working with vendors in respectful and effective business relationships to help maintain and renovate facilities to high standards overseeing management of all aspects of facilities projects.
  • Responsible for working with outside agencies who oversee facilities’ health and safety and maintain accurate records as required by those agencies.

Develop and implement plans for furthering the goals of sustainability and reduction of fossil fuel dependency in a manner that respects our natural environment.

  • Effectively supervise all Facilities Department staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, and five or more years of facilities management and supervisory experience
  • Excellent human relations abilities; able to organize, coordinate and direct projects; strong oral and written communication abilities; solid analytical and technical skills; ability to apply logical thinking to a wide-range of intellectual and practical problems; able to use all related hardware and software
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance and custodial practices and procedures; understanding of governmental regulations and reporting
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
