Position Purpose

Petco has embarked on a journey to transform our business and is looking for team members who will lead us into the future as the leading omnichannel pet health and wellness company.

We’re looking for a seasoned integrated marketer who has shown they can lead cross-functional marketing teams to develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies that drive business results. As the Director of Services Integrated Marketing, you would be responsible for driving awareness, consideration, traffic and acquisition for our service businesses and initiatives, including: Vet Hospitals, Vetco Vaccination Clinics, Grooming and Training.

The Director, Services Integrated Marketing will be responsible for:

• Marketing Planning : Lead the marketing planning process for Services businesses and initiatives, including crafting and owning the marketing strategy, integrated marketing plan, and budget.

• Strategic Positioning : Using customer data and insights, business performance, and competitive intelligence, lead a team to create differentiated positioning for businesses and offerings, reinforced through messaging, and brought to life via world-class marketing execution.

• Integrated Execution : Lead the orchestration of enterprise-wide integrated marketing activations in partnership with cross functional business and marketing leaders. You’ll ultimately be accountable for the integrated brief through to the tactical execution and results across all channels.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Education & Experience : A bachelor’s degree and at least ten years’ experience as a B2C marketing leader, ideally in an integrated marketing role, with a minimum three years in a services marketing role. A minimum of five years should have served in a supervisory capacity with proven experience leading cross functional teams to a successful outcome.

· Strategy & Execution Combo : Proven ability to lead the integrated marketing process end-to-end, from setting the strategic vision to overseeing flawless execution.

· Creative Acumen : Ability to objectively evaluate creative against a strategic brief and deliver feedback in a way that clearly and effectively sets direction and inspires the team.

· Digital Transformation : Be a catalyst for transforming digital practices within the company by fostering innovation in digital marketing strategy and tactics, audience segmentation and targeting, journey mapping, and optimizing for mobile, social and new technologies.

· Financial Management : Manage media and production budgets for enterprise initiatives including securing, forecasting, assigning and reconciling spend by month and quarter.

Prioritizes and balances time, actions, resources, and initiatives to ensure achievement of critical goals. Holds him/herself and team accountable for outcomes (e.g., achieving goals and complying with policies and procedures). Anticipates and removes obstacles, redirecting efforts to accelerate the work or improve quality.

Additional Responsibilities

· Supervisory Responsibility : Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring/coaching, providing functional guidance, assignment delegation and follow-through, as well as disciplinary action and termination when necessary. Manage 4 individual contributors plus external agencies as needed.

· Work Environment : The majority of job duties are performed while seated indoors with little or no exposure to hazards. Minor local travel by automobile to vendors or agencies may be required. Also periodic attendance at appropriate marketing conferences that help to keep you knowledgeable about the latest thinking and technology and to share best practices with other colleagues.
