CAREGiver 24 HR LIVE-IN SHIFTS

Home Instead Senior Care®, is seeking LIVE-IN CAREGiverSM for 1 to 3 consecutive, 24-hour shifts for a lovely client in North Scottsdale.

Live-In Care is essentially assisted living at home, provided in extra-long shifts. This is a great way to work a lot of hours in a short time.

You will be a companion to your client, and as such, you will be up with them when they're awake (usually 12 -- 16 hours) and you'll sleep while your client is sleeping. Your client provides a bed, in quiet room, and bathroom. You stay as a CAREGiver, for your 1, 2, or 3 Live-In Care shifts. Live-In Care caregivers step away from their regular lives for the duration of their shift. Of course, they maintain their own residence. Most Live-In Care caregivers choose to work 2 Live-In shifts (48 hours), take a day or two off, and then come back to more Live-In Care shifts.

Here are just a few of the things you might do as a Home Instead CAREGiver:

• Provide companionship and conversation

• Do light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation

• Provide medication reminders

• Assist with personal care, such as bathing and grooming

• Provide incidental transportation to appointments and assist with errands/shopping

  Essential Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds

• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach

• Ability to consistently provide physical assistance to a client (i.e. stand-by assistance while walking, assist client with transfers)

• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen

• Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance

• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect

• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations

• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
