Essential Job Function:

The Store Manager performs operations necessary for running an efficient and profitable convenience store & fuel site. These leaders must have the aptitude to make timely decisions and immediately solve problems. Our stores are open 24/7 and managers must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily performance of store associates
• Prepare ongoing training & performance appraisals
• Maintain focus on excellent customer service
• Recruit, hire, & train new store personnel
• Analyze & forecast P&L reports to ensure maximum profitability
• Create and submit daily store reports
• Reconcile and prepare bank deposits
• Plan and prepare employee schedules
• Safeguard and account for all cash received and distributed
• Control & maintain fuel & merchandise inventories
• Manage deliveries and vendor relations
• Order product to keep shelves fully stocked and well-merchandised
• Mediate employee grievances and disputes
• Evaluate, counsel, discipline, and develop employees
• Properly document all store incidents and personnel actions
• Maintain site appearance standards
• Communicate and track maintenance issues 
• Implement and maintain health & safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, regulations and company policies

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or BS/BA preferred
• Previous management experience
• 18+ years of age
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Verifiable work history
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Ability to safely lift 40+ lbs. to chest height
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
• Ability to climb a step ladder, reach with arms, grasp with hands, bend, and crouch
• Use hands bilaterally and unilaterally
• Accurately select options from a touch screen monitor
• Accurately count US currency and make change
• Aptitude for teamwork and customer service
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with PDI reporting software is preferred
• Superior leadership skills
• Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment with multiple components
• Pass a pre-hire drug screen, background, and credit check

Working Conditions:

• Most duties are performed indoors
• Outside tasks include cleaning of parking lot & equipment, emptying trash, and inspecting or servicing amenities
• Frequent exposure to extreme cold while performing tasks in the cooler or freezer
• Occasional exposure to loud noise
• Must operate as an effective leader of store personnel with minimal supervision from Area Supervisor
