Wells Fargo is looking for a Hands-on developer to take a  role in building a unified multi-asset high performance electronic trading UI.  The individual in this role will have responsibilities of:

  • Architecture 
  • Design
  • Development
  • Unit and Stress test high performing data rich UI screens/widgets/frameworks that are integrated well in to the entire electronic trading stack

Day to day responsibilities involve building high performance market data UIs, Trader blotters, RFQ negotiation UIs, Offer Management UIs, Alert Notifications and Pricing/What If analysis UIs.  The developer will be a key participant in a small, focused and highly talented delivery team for front office trading UI development. Great opportunities exist across multiple asset-classes, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Equities, and build one common UI code base for entire Electronic Trading technology stack.  The candidate will:

  • Design and develop extreme automated stress testing harnesses.
  • Delve into hardware tuning for high end electronic trading UI.
  • Participate in and conduct code review sessions, and provide process improvements. 

Domain expertise in Macro, Spread and/or Equities, coupled with hands-on experience in building electronic trading UI frameworks and/or Capital Market’s widgets is a huge plus. 



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 4+ years of securities industry experience
  • 7 + years of experience supporting electronic trading (etrading) platforms
  • 7+ years of UI (User Interface) experience
  • 7+ years of Multi-Threading Experience
  • 7+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
  • 5 + years of AngularJS experience
  • 5 + years of experience developing web applications utilizing HTML 5
  • A BS/BA degree or higher



Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
  • BS/BA in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial products: exposure to fixed income securities, derivatives, and foreign exchange
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset based classes and equities
  • C# experience
  • Experience with .net



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with Web Sockets
  • Knowledge and experience with Type-Script
  • Knowledge and experience with WPF
  • Knowledge and experience with React JS
  • Domain expertise in building front office trading UIs using OpenFin Framework
  • Prior experience in building high throughput, low latency electronic trading front-end applications
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Extensive experience in the capital markets business and processes, e.g. trade lifecycle, electronic trading/algorithmic trading. 
  • Good understanding and/or working knowledge of Compliance and Regulatory needs in building capital markets electronic trading front end applications.
