Full-time Receptionist/Legal Assistant Extremely busy, small law office seeking a dependable, trustworthy, hardworking individual preferably with legal office experience to join our team working in family law, estate planning, civil and criminal matters. Duties include: answering 2- line telephone, taking messages, scheduling consultations/mediations, calendar management, greeting clients, accepting payments, filing, emailing, electronic filing with the court, faxing, copying, ordering of office supplies, drafting and editing documents in Word, and general office duties. Must have a reliable vehicle and insurance for the occasional delivery of documents to Benton or Franklin County courts and to various attorneys within in the Tri-Cities. Five paid vacation days per year. Holiday pay included. Health benefits included after the first of the next month for employee only. Pay is $15-$17 per hour depending on qualifications. Current schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. with lunch between 12 pm and 1 pm. Start date September 1, 2020. Training provided. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong typewriting skills with attention to detail, spelling/grammar skills, and an ability to operate standard software (Word, outlook calendar & e-mail, etc.) and office equipment (copier, fax, multi-line phones, etc.). Must be able to communicate effectively, tactfully and concisely with a wide range of personalities while maintaining confidentiality. Must demonstrate proper telephone etiquette and have a professional appearance (office attire is required). Preferred knowledge of legal office and clerical practices: ability to alphabetize, accurately file paper and electronic documents, process information and documents as directed. This office is closed temporarily to the public until our county reaches Phase 2. We are very busy maintaining current and new client workloads. This office abides all directives including physical distancing, the mandatory use of masks/face coverings, and temperature screenings. Please provide a resume and a cover letter.
