About this job

Responsibilities:

  • Be a technical lead for projects developing reagent kits for electrokinetic separation of nucleic acids/proteins in microfluidic chips.
  • Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including concept, planning, development and validation.
  • Accountable for R&D DHF deliverables according to PerkinElmer Design Control Process for RUO products (feasibility plan/report, reagent/software requirements, verification & validation plan/report).
  • Present experimental findings and interpretations to R&D team members, cross-functional leaders, and senior management.
  • Lead technical root causing activities to identify and alleviate roadblocks internally and with customers.
  • Implement Agile methodology with sprints using SMART objectives and Agile boards for day-to-day operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • MS in relevant science/engineering field (analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biophysics).
  • 3+ years of related expereince.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in relevant science/engineering field (analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biophysics).
  • Track record of publications on electrokinetic separations of biomolecules using microfluidics technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge in electrokinetic separations.
  • Industry experience with monoclonal antibody, glycan or NGS sample characterization.
  • Industry experience with analytical assay development.
  • Great command of design of experiment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership, self-starter.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment.
