Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an ExperiencedSystems Engineer Support Analyst in Las Cruces, NM. The selected candidate will be responsible for command and control of space vehicles (SV), telemetry monitoring, and execution and verification of products loaded to the SV. This position requires working a variety of fluctuating schedules (24x7). The candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts which include working days, nights, weekends and/or holidays. This position will require travel up to 10% of time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes, and compiles technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
  • Applies systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of system of systems, systems and new product development.
  • Derives and develops architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs.
  • Assists in the integration of technical, cost, value, risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the product. Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives.
  • Performs technical planning and control; maintains and improves processes and software tools.
  • Trains and instructs others.
  • Works under general direction.

This position requires an active/current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI and a current Counter-Intelligence (CI) polygraph. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).   

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Classroom or work related experience with aerospace engineering vehicles.
  • Experience with integrated ground and flight command, control, and communication systems.
  • Certified/qualified as an Operator on the Space Vehicle mission on Double Eagle.
  • Experience using computers and learning new computer systems.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
