Job Details
The Mortgage Closer will be responsible for Quality Control (QC) and closing all loans according to the proper product type, investor, agency and internal guidelines, state and federal guidelines, and all ALCOVA Mortgage processes and procedures in an accurate and timely manner. The Closer is responsible for the accurate preparation of compliant closing documents to ensure that they are salable on the secondary market. After a sale has been finalized, the Closer also ensures that all documents are properly recorded and delivered. S/he will communicate with internal staff and outside agencies to facilitate all closing issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities of the Mortgage Closer:
Reviews loans and accurately completes all data input into mortgage loan origination system to Quality Control (QC) and prepares to order closing documents.
Reviews loans for QC stipulations (“QC stips”).
Clears “QC stips” on all loans.
Manages Transportation Research Information Services (TRID) Dashboard.
Issues all final Closing Disclosures (CDs).
Issues accurate and complete closing documents to Title Company or closing agent within three (3) days of the scheduled closing date.
Reviews HUD for accuracy and compliance to all loan product parameters and issue HUD Approval.
You should know some of the following:
Minimum of one (1) year of mortgage experience and a demonstrated willingness to learn. Prior mortgage closing experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Encompass software strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
Highly motivated, ambitious, and driven to succeed.
Trustworthy, honest, and display a high-level of integrity.
Able to access, input, retrieve, and interpret information using applicable computer systems (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, industry-specific computer software, etc.)
