Welder that will work on aluminum and steel products. Candidates should know Mig Welding. Candidates selected for an interview will be tested and should bring their hood and PPE.
Welders must bring their own hood and gloves even for the interviews
• Welds metal components together with brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, and plant equipment
• Must be able to pass welding certification tests
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts
• Locates and repairs cracks in products and equipment
• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• May perform lean 5S activities.
• May need to operate a vehicle or a forklift
• Works under close supervision
Normally receives detailed instructions on work
• Reading comprehension skills to understand drawings, work orders or written instructions
• Basic mathematical skills to perform calculations
• Oral communication skills to exchange information with co-workers and supervisor
• Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others
• Ability to work under time pressure
