Purpose of Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the overall administration of centralized leaves and accommodations processes. This includes responsibility for overseeing a team of analysts who are responsible for the day to day administration of the centralized processes, enhancing Lowe\'s existing leave of absence processes, ensuring compliance with leave policies and federal/state regulations, and maintaining a leave of absence and accommodation processes that ensures a high quality associate experience. Additionally, this role provides policy interpretation, leave/accommodation transaction guidance, and problem solving for direct reports.

Responsibility Statements:
• Manages and develops a team of analysts who are proficient in responding to and resolving employee requests for leaves and accommodations.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for the team on FMLA, ADA, WC and other pertinent laws and regulations, providing sound guidance and direction to the team on the most complex of leave and accommodation cases.
• Analyzes operational results, evaluate trends and recommend changes in programs, processes and support.
• Partners with stakeholders and vendors to create an industry competitive leave and accommodations program.
• Works closely and effectively with internal partners in Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other teams pertinent to optimal service delivery.
• Ensures that all administrative processes, and changes to administrative processes, are properly vetted and communicated.
• Manages complex policy exceptions and service issue escalations to root cause and resolution.
• Stays apprised of general human resources trends by maintaining strong connections with human resource professional organizations (e.g., SHRM, etc.) as well as other human resources and retail-focused organizations (e.g., RILA, NRF, etc.).
• Coordinates with Associate Learning to provide necessary compliance training to human resources, people leaders and associates.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in human resources
• 3+ years’ experience in managing and developing direct reports
• 3+ years’ experience with Leaves of Absence and Accommodation strategy, design and oversight
• 2+ years’ experience in managing a centralized HR program or in a shared services environment
• 2+ years’ experience with ADA, FMLA, local and state leave laws, STD, LTD, Workers’ Compensation and leave of absence processing, policy design and administration

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources
• 5+ years’ experience with Leaves of Absence and Accommodation strategy, design and oversight
• 1+ year(s) experience with Workday
• 1+ year(s) experience with ServiceNow or other case management tool
