Kelly Services is looking for a Packaging Technician for Gurabo area.

Salary: $9.50 plus shift diferential

Main Duties: Provides manufacturing support. Performs preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. Repairs production equipment. Typically would be certified for mechanical ability by state.

Essential Responsibilities:

·  Operates equipment, maintains workstation clean after minor or mayor changeovers.

·  Inspects the production line and its components before starting each run.

·  Monitors the machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

·  Monitors the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.

·  Starts machine by engaging controls.

·  Removes finished packaged items from machine and separates rejected items.

·  Counts and records finished and rejected packaged items.

·  Operates, makes adjustments and performs preventive maintenance to processing machinery or equipment.

·  Documents and inspects equipment calibrations.

·  Provides assistance to Maintenance Technicians during troubleshooting, preventive maintenance or repairs.

·  Executes and documents material reconciliation.

·  Observes and tests the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.

·  Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.

·  Cleans, lubricates, or adjusts parts, equipment, or machinery.

·  Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.

·  Operates newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Technical or Associate Degree completed required with 1 - 2 years experience in pharmaceutical industry or related, or 1 year experience as Packaging Operator
  • Experience with blisters, bottle lines, vision systems, serialization, digital impression, cartons highly preferred.
  • Some experience with tool & die desirable.
