DESCRIPTION

Design and support the architectural advancement of the Nielsen Marketing Cloud system by choosing, implementing and maintaining optimal technology solutions for the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large streams of digital behavioral data used for building, monitoring, and analyzing machine learning models for advertising: Use the Marketing Cloud monitoring stack to design and support systems which allow scientists to ensure scale and data quality, and which allow clients to see results of projects. Maintain, implement, and monitor the solutions in production of the Nielsen Marketing Cloud platform. Select and integrate large scale and/or streaming data processing tools and frameworks to enhance the existing infrastructure for new business cases. Leverage proprietary tools and frameworks to implement the Extract Transform Load (ETL) process in batch and streaming frameworks. Monitor efficiency and availability of audit models and solutions, and advise Architecture team, Site Reliability Engineers, and the Data Science department on any necessary infrastructure changes. Apply knowledge of Marketing Cloud data infrastructure to gather data mart requirements from Nielsen data scientists and analysts. Provide related thought leadership across the Nielsen Media landscape. Travel internationally 1 to 2 times per year (primarily to Israel), for 1 to 2 weeks per trip. Tools used: streaming frameworks; Spark Streaming and Flink; messaging systems: Kafka and/or RabbitMQ; AWS Cloud; Presto Big Data querying tool; Sqoop ETL framework; Apache Airflow; Apache Druid; and Cloud Data warehousing tools: Snowflake and/or Redshift.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with an information technology focus (foreign equivalent degree acceptable) plus 2 years of experience in software development for data processing and storage. This must include: Two (2) years of experience in/with: Marketing Cloud technology stack and data infrastructure; distributed and streaming computing principles; streaming frameworks; Spark Streaming and Flink; messaging systems: Kafka and/or RabbitMQ; and AWS Cloud. Must also have two (2) years hands-on experience in the following within an enterprise-level (live, client-facing) production environment: Presto Big Data querying tool; Sqoop for ETL techniques and frameworks; machine learning principles; Apache Airflow; Apache Druid; and Cloud Data warehousing tools: Snowflake and/or Redshift. Must be willing to travel internationally 1-2 times/year, for 1-2 weeks/ trip.
