Job Description
- The Laundry Attendant is a customer service job in an attended self-serve laundromat. We are looking for a high energy and friendly staff member who will fit with our team dynamic. We are looking for a part time, 1-2 nights a week member, to fill this position. The Laundry Attendant will serve both the self-serve laundry customers as well as the customers dropping off for full-service laundry in a friendly and professional manner. Besides customer service, there is general cleaning and upkeep of the laundry equipment. Keeping equipment clean and presentable, sanitizing high touch areas several times a shift, keeping floors free of debris and water. The drop off full-service attending requires some computer skills to enter customer information in the computer-based point of sale register. The process also requires handling others laundry, spot cleaning, washing, drying, folding, hanging and packaging the finished product with care and precision. Required education and work history should include a High School Diploma or equivalent, knowledge of basic computer skills, counting change and money to balance a register, as well as prior customer service jobs or volunteer work. Laundry or hospitality experience is preferred but not necessary. We love our customers and we love laundry; we show it through great customer service and a clean environment. We are looking for someone who is engaging and interested in the customers, they are what drives the business forward.
